The Fort Lee Fire Department's Bureau of Fire Safety Education and the Fort Lee Fire Prevention Bureau are committed to bringing the message of fire safety education to all those who live and work in Fort Lee, especially the kids! Each year the department visits each school - over 3,000 children - from Pre-K to high school during "Fire Prevention Week" in October to teach them on what to do in case of a fire and how to prevent a fire.
The best way that the general public can help the fire service today is to know what to do if a fire breaks out in their home, workplace, school or where ever they are at the time. There are a number of ways to learn and you can find here. So, please check out the web pages listed below to find out more !
The department also offers free Fire Safety Education Presentations to various groups such as tenant organizations, civic organizations, building employees, health care providers and business groups. These presentations will teach the basics of fire safety.
If you would like the department to make a presentation about fire safety, you can contact the Fort Lee Fire Prevention Bureau at 201-592-3585 Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm or you can make a request via e-mail at FLFD@fortleefire.org
