FIRE PREVENTION WEEK

During the month of October, members of the department visit every public, private and nursery school in Fort Lee and teach them about fire safety education. From Pre-K to the 8th grade, each child is taught what to in case of a fire and how to prevent a fire. This is done through videos, practical exercises and printed material that each child can bring home to their families.

Along with "Sparky the Fire Dog", each child is shown what a firefighter looks like, they get the chance to see all of the equipment and fire trucks that the firefighters use and the best part of all we all get to make new friends!
